At the end of the week we had Huawei coming up with set of product, among them Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD was the most hyped one. But I am bit disappointed with the pricing thing, I expected lower price than that. And we have been able to cover up some decent product here. The Optimum result of LG series is now announced as ‘Optimus L9’. Though there is no hint of its price and availability, but its sure that L9 is arriving soon. Now some clever developers over at XDA have pushed the device to its limits with the release of a new kernel (the core of the Android operating system) that is able to tweak the Nexus 7′s CPU and overclock it to 2.0GHz. Usually overclocking refers to increasing frequency of operation by increasing no of cycles per second. In real terms, there should be right balance between frequency, voltage and stability. The main reason that the lower speed CPU is used in the Nexus 7 is battery life. More megahertz means more power consumption which, in turn, means less battery life.

Samsung Galaxy S III based Camera

With most advanced feature and most impressive of the entire current android phone on the market, there has been rumor of S III brand increasing its reach to camera as Samsung Galaxy S Camera. The camera is supposedly built on the existing S3 design and features a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED screen, Android ICS, and an impressive 16MP sensor. With manufacturers like Nikon bringing its own camera smartphone in market, its good for Samsung to widen itself.

Qualcomm’s Quad-Core Snapdragon

When we consider smartphones and tablets, we generally have two Giant manufacturers, Nvidia and Qualcomm. Not a doubt both are competitors in every aspect. The Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon S4 chip is going to beat the ground with its great flexibility to tweak its designs paying a licensing fee to build its own ARM-compatible processors rather than licensing the ARM Cortex architecture directly, and it’s evident in newest processor architecture, called Krait.

Inside technology of Snapdragon, its four core work independently variable clock speeds. When a phone need little processing power, such as in sleep mode, it uses only one core but as task increases more cores get involved. So Snapdragon’s allows different cores perform different functions but only draw the power needed for the task. And obviously this will increase battery longevity which is what current need and trend is. So good luck Qualcomm.

In the case of the Archos 101 XS, this little extra comes in the form of the ‘Coverboard’ – a magnetic keyboard that also acts as protection to the tablet and a docking station for the 101 XS. The good thing about having the cover is that you have no fear chucking the tablet in your bag after you have used it – it just makes the Archos 101 XS that little bit more durable.

As for the keyboard, just don't expect miracles. On the plus side, the keyboard is fully optimised for Android. This means that there are hot-keys to get you to the different screens and options that are available on the OS. Once you work out where they are, the keyboard is great to use but we can't see this ever being a replacement to a real laptop.

Toshiba Excite 10

As Nexus 7 tablet and probable low price of Microsoft Surface Tablet is in the air there has been cut in the price for the rest. To this list is now Toshiba Excite 10, Costco is currently offering “for a limited time only”, the 16GB Excite 10 for $299.99, which is $100 less than the previous pricing point of the 10-incher and 150 bucks under the tab’s first price tag. The 32GB model is itself on promotion, going for just $349.99. Toshiba has been considered good when it comes to its product quality and its has made up to its mark one again.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro chip

With global warming things has gone hotter these days but with processors thing its gaining strength, being concise and cooling down. Mostly the mobile chips has been hugely dominated by Qualcomm and Nvidia. With Nexus 7 tablet shipped with Nvidia’s Tegra chips there was huge boost for the chip manufacturer but slowly Qualcomm is gaining its share with its latest S4 Pro quad-core chips. First it was Xiaomi Mi-Two and now it is unnamed LG device.

In chemistry subject ,"Chrome" is defined as an alloy. That is, a mixture of something which yields better quality. So why not with Google OS?  hence it is here as well. We have already taken a lot of good features of Google chrome technically. Now when Chrome is in redesigning way then obviously it will make us expect more.

The Moon's Man

Knowing Neil Armstrong is like yeah I know he is the first man on the moon and that’s all. I remember an article about him stating that he rarely had interview like we could count in fingers. I couldn’t believe he was the same man who first landed on moon with whole of world having eye on him and how in the world could he be living normal human with all these complex stuffs going on. Now this is why he is really a great man we have witnessed.

The loss of great scientist is irreplaceable but his remarkable work serves as an example to the world to explore and push the limits. Neil Armstrong, who made the “giant leap for mankind” as the first human to set foot on the moon, died on Saturday.

Charles Bolden said - "As we enter this next era of space exploration, we do so standing on the shoulders of Neil Armstrong. We mourn the passing of a friend, fellow astronaut and true American hero". The President Obama said - "He delivered a moment of human achievement that will never be forgotten”.

Armstrong was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio, on August 5, 1930. He was interested in flying even as a young boy, earning his pilot's license at age 16. He inspired generations of boys and girls worldwide not just through his monumental achievement, but also the modesty and mercy which he carried himself to the end.

Apple Vs Samsung

Technology has always been on the go and boy they have patented it well. Its complex we know but it’s even more complex when it is legal, its paper work that comes to existence more than technology itself so I simply hate it. Now what actually this patent war is?? Defining it in simple ways, if ‘A’ invents or gains a technology it patents that particular technology or lets say copyright it so if anyone uses it than ‘B’ shall be the victim of that patent thing.

Apple had been claiming that Samsung had been violating patent belonging to Apple such as “bounce back” scrolling functionality on all devices, one finger scrolling on selected devices etc. Now Samsung has defended with little offense too. Now before the verdict from the jury Judge Lucy Koh asked CEO of both Apple and Samsung to have a meeting and prepare ground for negotiation but it was useless. So finally there was a verdict.

Apple-Samung trial had verdict going in favour of Apple with $1,049,343,540 awarded to Apple for Samsung’s damage. In summary

• The jury found no infringement by Apple on any of Samsung’s utility patents.
• The jury found that Samsung infringed on patents for ’381 “bounce back” scrolling functionality on all devices.
• On the ’915 patent, relating to one finger to scroll, two to pinch and zoom navigation, all but three Samsung devices (Ace, Intercept and Replenish) infringed.
• For Apple’s ’163 patent (tap to zoom) all Samsung devices except Captivate, Indulge, Intercept, Nexus S 4G, Transform and Vibrant infringed.

There has been question if technology is to be patented with evolution in such a short span of time when considering medical innovation which takes life time before it is to the mass, anyway there has to be a rule that governs itself and people associated just to prevent chaos.
